In Nepal's far east, the Kanchenjunga circuit remains one of the least-trafficked treks in the country. The trail rises through dense forest and Limbu and Rai villages to the high alpine of Pang Pema, facing the sheer north side of Kanchenjunga, before looping around to a second base camp on the south side.
