Annapurna I, 8,091m
Annapurna
A circuit of a thousand faces.
Overview
No range rewards a long walk like Annapurna. Rice terraces give way to rhododendron forest, then arid Tibetan-influenced valleys, then the thin white air of Thorong La. Along the way: hot springs, Gurung and Manangi villages, and the sculpted west face of Machhapuchhre standing over Pokhara's lake.
